About

Our Company
IMO was established in 2003 by Director Sam Haughton. Based in Auckland, New Zealand, we have an Office and Showroom in the city. We have a standard range of products and also collaborate with architects and designers when custom solutions are required. All our furniture is designed and manufactured in New Zealand and distributed by IMO, which gives us the flexibility to customise products easily and work to shorter lead times.

Our Purpose
Although there is a recogniseable aesthetic that runs through our designs, we are more concerned about the way in which people use and interact with furniture, as this is an integral part of everyday life. We respect the context in which our furniture is placed, and the wider impact that this has on the architecture and interior spaces. We strive to continually improve our design and manufacturing processes to ensure simplicity and durability.

Our Clients
Our product has been specified for many large scale local and international projects, including Air New Zealand, Sky City, Waitakere City Council, Downer Edi Works and ANZ.

Please contact us if you would like CAD files or further information about IMO, our products or recent projects.

Custom Design Service

Many of our standard products can be customised to suit specific project needs. We can provide this flexibility as all of our products are made here in New Zealand.

In addition to this we offer a product design and manufacturing service. We have over 15 years of experience working with Architects and Designers on one off furniture pieces and large installations. Pricing is quoted on a project basis, depending on the design details, materials, finishes and services required.

Please contact us for further information.

Environmental Policy

IMO is committed to creating timeless, versatile furniture that endures changes in tastes and trends. We acknowledge that the building and furniture industries have an important role to play in reducing the negative impact of everyday living on the environment.

We believe in taking honest and genuine steps to improve our design solutions, policies, processes and practices to become more environmentally aware and achieve a higher standard of sustainability.
